100 years since the end of World War I
November 11 marks 100 years since the end of World War I, Nov. 11th, 1918. The War Ended with at "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month". The war was won, but with great sacrifice, and many lives lost. Kidoons asks us all to take a moment of silence at 11:11 to recognize all of the veterans in our own lives, people who've given service, and those who are not still with us. Also, we can reflect on the wars of the past so we do not repeat them in the future.
In Flanders Fields is a war poem written by Canadian Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. It has become the symbol of Remembrance Day together with the red poppy, to honour those who fought in service to the country. Read by Rick Miller
